SoRa Tsuruga Auberge in Lake Kussharo

Auberge by Lake Kussharo. You can taste casual French food mainly using local ingredients at the calm log house. Outside the window is a garden where wild deer visit, beautifully illuminated by sunlight. The location also complements the dishes. There are 3 kinds of lunch courses. You can choose a main dish from fish or meat grilled on an iron plate with the popular Nitay.

A main dish of Nitai (3,240 yen), paella of ocean treats served on an iron plate. Saffron rice topped with fresh seafood from Kushiro like scallops, prawns, and Japanese sea bass.

A large garden viewed from the window. The French dishes taste special when you eat among nature, listening to the songs of wild birds.

Appetizer, soup and dessert from Nitay. The appetizer on this day was a rainbow trout galette. Plenty of beans and vegetables are used in this soup.

A main dish from Nitay, Sauté of pork ribs produced in Hokkaido and dark meat chicken produced in Date. The pork ribs are teriyaki flavored, and the chicken’s dark meat is grilled with salt.

The two guest rooms also have a relaxed atmosphere where you can feel the peacefulness of nature. Both rooms are suite-type roomy spaces.
