Let’s go look for things Made in Satsuma,
that reflect the best of their creators’ characters.

Café and shop using a renovated old stone storage building. You can taste foods using plenty of local ingredients, and find Satsumamono (goods made in Kagoshima), like ceramic ware and local groceries. CHIN JUKAN POTTERY, the only shop run in collaboration between a design group, Landscape Products, and a long-established store of Satsuma pottery, Chin Jukan, proposes a lifestyle of abundance.

Lunch of the week (1,080 yen). A hearty portion of various foods made of locally-produced ingredients is served on one plate. Bread and soup are included in the set.

Groceries such as soy sauce for pasta, hamburger steak sauce, and granola are also made in Satsuma. They add richness to the table.

Crate’s wood plates, whose smooth curves are beautiful, and ONE KILN‘s plates, which use ash from Sakurajima Island in their glaze. Both are made by creators working in Kagoshima, who are expanding the area of their activities to overseas.

CHIN JUKAN POTTERY aims to produce “Satsuma-ware of a new era”. A 400-year-old, established store of Satsuma pottery, Chin Jukan collaborates with Landscape Products, which pursues the creation of products that make our life more fun, including furniture. The lineup includes one of a kind items backed by the experience of the two companies.

CHIN JUKAN POTTERY’s Tea things series is an homage to the good old days of the U.K. The unique round form maximizes the aroma and taste of the tea by allowing the tea leaves to move inside when it is poured.
