Keshimochi (135 yen/ piece) is smooth rice cake skin and carefully kneaded bean jam that is combined and topped with savory poppy seeds. It has been made since the store was founded in 1532. It became popular since Sennorikyu loved it, and it became a noted sweet of Sakai. The package was drawn by Fusetsu Nakamura, a Western-style painter known for drawing illustrations for “Wagahai-wa-nekodearu (I Am a Cat)”, a famous novel written by Soseki Natsume. The wrapping paper with the landscape of Sakai is also an item you might want to keep.

The product in a wooden box is suitable as a gift.

A beautiful beach scene in Sakai drawn by Fusetsu Nakamura is used as the package design.
