HOTEL IL PALAZZO ホテル・イル・パラッツォ

The first design hotel in Japan by an Italian architect, Aldo Rossi. He is a winner of the Pritzker Prize, often called the Nobel Prize of the architectural world. It is popular for its good access to both Hakata and Tenjin, the center of Fukuoka sight-seeing, and its location in Haruyoshi, where there are many gourmet restaurants.

Artistic bar and lounge arranged with uniquely-designed, colorful chairs and a black plaster wall. The breakfast buffet has a good reputation. About 80 kinds of dishes, including the specialties of Kyushu and Okinawa’s 8 prefectures such as “Fish of the season and spicy red caviar Bocconcini” are served. The menu changes monthly so that guests can enjoy new delicacies at every visit.

Standard twin room coordinated with a light brown interior. Equipped with a comfortable sofa. For special occasions, the luxurious Grande floor called the “hospitable floor” is recommended. It offers higher-grade facilities and services such as a guest room equipped with a large screen TV.

“To offer a more comfortable and pleasant stay to guests”, the lobby and guest rooms were renovated in 2009. It was renewed with an aim of providing sophisticated design and functionality. There are wings on both sides of the main building, housing teppanyaki and sushi restaurants.

Its stately appearance, worthy of the name IL PALAZZO (castle). A super unique hotel, IL PALAZZO is a landmark in the Haruyoshi area. In 1991, an award was given to the hotel as an example of excellent architecture outside of America from the American Architects Association (AIA).
