A guest house built in a renovated 90-year old house. It is unique not only for the four rooms which express the four seasons, but also the bar space, where you can just drop in without staying overnight. The open, undivided layout of the first floor follows the owner’s desire for it to be a place where “people can drink boisterously and make themselves at home even if they are meeting for the first time.” Of course it is a great place to stay, but you can also just stop by to talk about your trip and drink with friends you met in Niigata.

There are four rooms in total. Each room has a name that implies a season. This room is named Ibuki (a word that suggests breath and indications of life) and is winter-themed. It is a simple Japanese-style room, and there is a sweeping view of the courtyard. It accommodates up to three people.

The dormitory reserved for women is named Kochi (east wind), and it has a spring theme. The floor is made from cherry tree wood, and the walls are painted a soft pink. This room has beds that are a little bit wider, so you can enjoy a relaxed time.

The owner, Mr. Omomo, who also appears in the PEOPLE section, frequently visits Osadotamura, a tavern in the neighborhood.

You can read any book in the lobby.
