長崎雑貨 たてまつる

A variety shop which offers original items inspired by the culture of Nagasaki. There is a satisfying variety of goods including books on the history of Nagasaki and cute sundry goods like a Japanese sponge cake-shaped chopstick rest. Tatematenu (1,050 yen~) are hand towels with illustrations of local scenery, buildings, and historic people, which were highlighted by Takaaki Takanami, the shop owner, who read a wide range of literatures about Nagasaki. At least 40 kinds of hand towels are always exhibited, and all of them are suitable as a new souvenir from Nagasaki.

The illustrations on the hand towels are all created based on the culture of Nagasaki. All of them are hand-drawn by Mr. Takanami, the shop owner.

This is a collaborative design with a popular select shop, Urban Research. Designed based on a fictitious story “if Ryoma Sakamoto (a very popular historical figure who played a key role in the peaceful overthrow of the Tokugawa shogunate) established a tailor shop in the closing days of Tokugawa shogunate?”

In addition to the hand towels, check out a Japanese sponge cake-shaped chopstick rest (1,050 yen). Production was requested to a local artist Hanatokaze (flower and wind). It is also suitable as a new souvenir from Nagasaki.
