Fukushima is known as an important center for producing fruit. There are tourist fruit farms and direct sales depots along a prefectural highway called the Fruit Line running through the western part of the city. You can pick fruit yourself at a fruit farm and eat as much seasonal fruit as you like. Also pick up some sweets that use fresh fruit from a variety of selections. Enjoy a sweets-filled trip that you can only experience in Fukushima.

A tourist fruit farm along Fruit Line. In the large site of the fruit farm of approx. 2.5 hectares, you can eat as much seasonal fruit as you like. There is a direct sales depot at the entrance, so you can also purchase freshly picked fruit. You can eat seasonal fruit except in winter and spring: cherries from early June to late July, peaches from mid-July to late September, pears from early September to late November, grapes from mid-September to late October, and apples from mid-September to early December.

Luxurious sweets using fresh fruit are served.

Café run by Marusei fruit farm. Fresh fruits from the fruit farm are lavishly used for the luxurious sweets. The menu items are changed according to the harvest time. Among them, Seasonal fruit parfait is popular. A heap of fruits, vanilla ice cream, sherbet and others are in this voluminous item.

The base gelato is its original creation using high-quality milk produced by a dairy farmer in Fukushima. 16 kinds of flavors are always in the showcase. The deliciousness of Fruits Yogurt topped with several kinds of fruits, and Momo-chan, peach gelato sold from summer to autumn, should satisfy fruit lovers.

A large café which runs 18 branches throughout Japan based in Fukushima. Among the wide selection of menu, an especially popular item is the tart. The owner, a fruit-meister, carefully selects the fruits used for the more than 18 kinds of tarts. Enjoy the harmony with the hand-made light base.
