are boldly and brilliantly arranged on a bowl of rice.

Fresh seafood which has just landed at the fishing port in front of the restaurant is lavishly used for Tokujo-kaisendon (finest seafood and rice) (1,950 yen). 10 kinds of seafood are served, including sea urchin, red caviar, tuna, sardines, white-meat fish, and other ocean treats that change depending on what fish are purchased that day. All of them are cut in large pieces, and satisfying. You can enjoy the same Kaisendon at the affiliated restaurant Sennosuke Honten, which opened in Kushiro.

Raw slices of sardines (450 yen) is another specialty of this restaurant. Thick slices with a moderate amount of fat on them taste fresh and are addictive. A set meal of raw slices of sardines (750 yen), a set with rice and miso soup, is also popular.

Salted and vinegared mackerel and other processed products using fresh fish landed at Kushiro Port are also sold in the restaurant.

This is inside the Senchan-shokudo restaurant in Sennosuke, a complex facility that opened in Kushiro-cho recently. The space is comfortable with beautiful light coming in from the large windows.

A huge aquarium is placed in the wellholespace of Sennosuke.

Sennosuke also sells processed products using fresh fish such as boiled mackerel and mackerel simmered in a miso-based sauce.
